Welcome to Nightlife! I’m Alexandra Clear, your resident party girl.
With this segment of Now Frolic, I’ll introduce you to all things fun after dark – new DJs, bars, musicians, bands, date spots, cozy restaurants, sports bars, sober curious trends, and more.
Across the country, people have their favorite ways to unwind and vibe with the night. I’ll cover topics like partiers from the dilapidated warehouse scene of Queens, the bar-rats of the Midwest, and stoners of the boardwalk joints of the West Coast. My hope is to inspire you to get your fill of new spots and new sound for whichever after-hours activities you embark upon.
I will also take you on my solo journey – one riddled with dancefloor hookups, drugs, gossip, boozy shenanigans, food babies, and weekend-long festivals that are mostly hazy psychedelic dreams. In these pieces you’ll meet DJs whose friendships have blinded me to their shortcomings, bartenders who have seen the most ludicrous things, and other party girls (some are friends, some I’ve smooched, some I hate).
